Despite the numerous achievements in just one year in office, these leaders are still pushing hard to let the people of Asante Akim North see the completion and operationalization of a single storey district police headquarters at Obuase - Agogo

The project was handed over to the Assembly by the Traditional Council some couple of months ago.

The District Chief Executive together with Nananom, the District Coordinating Director, District Planning Officer, District Works and Engineer and Assemblyman of the area visited the site to inspect the state and progress of the said project.

This project has been there for the past ten years but the previous administration abandoned it because it was initiated by NPP but the DCE (Hon. Oti Boateng) and the MP (Hon. Andy Appiah Kubi) realized that the completion of the project will solve the numerous misunderstandings between the Landlord and the police officers over the project.

The issue of Police officers feeling reluctant to accept posting to this district due to lack of accommodation would be a thing of the past with the completion of this project as it will provide permanent offices for other security services including the Ghana Immigration Service and Ghana National Fire Service.

Thus, the Ghana National Fire Service and Immigration Service will occupy the offices the police are occupying now.

There would also be increase in the number of police personnel in the district since more police officers will be posted here so they can help in fighting the Fulani problems and other crimes.

According to the Contractor, Nimboat Construction, the work is 69% complete and promised to complete the rest of the work within schedule.

The DCE also urged the contractor to increase his workforce to complete the remaining work before this year ends as planned.
