Ejura Agricultural College to be upgraded to diploma awarding institution
Ejura Agricultural College is to be upgraded from a certificate awarding to a diploma awarding institution.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Ejura-Sekyedumase Municipal Assembly, Mohammed Salisu Bamba made the disclosure at this year’s matriculation and graduation ceremony of the college.

Expansion works, he noted is currently on going in the school towards the realization of this dream.

Mr. Bamba in his speech said we must insist on the provision of access to education in the country, adding, it is for this reason that the introduction of the free senior high school education introduced by this government is a welcoming news and in the right direction.

According him, he is a strong believer in parents to embrace the enormous potential education brings to the human resource development of the country, and he is confident they will support various initiatives aimed at improving education in the country.

He added that the firm believe by the NPP to develop its human resources through education led to increase in the capitation grant from 50% to 100% as contained in the 2018 budget, restoration of teachers' and nurses' allowances, absorption of BECE registration by government, expansion of school feeding programme, expansion of school infrastructure among others are all geared towards improving the human capacity of the people.

The MCE pointed out that no government policy on agriculture will be successful without the involvement of the agriculture colleges and urged government to engage the services of the trained agriculture technical graduates for the success of its agriculture projects including planting for food and job; one district, one factory; one village, one dam; and one district, one warehouse which the Ejura Municipality was the first beneficiary.

He thus appealed to the graduates to give off their best to support efforts of government in modernizing agriculture in the country.
