The Ashongman Branch was established on the 1st of July, 2009, and lays the foundation of the group.

The group is billed to organize among other activities;

The Chief Executive Officer of The Community Hospitals Group, Alexander Akwesi Acquah recounted how a simple business idea which commenced ten years ago with the establishment of the first hospital in Ashongman expanded and gave birth to other branches in five other areas in the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions, with three mortuaries as well located in Oda, Ashaiman, and Kunkurantumi.

He noted, “the first 10 and especially 5 years of any organization, sets the tone for success or failure as the case may be today. It is evident to all of us that this is not the story of failure but success to the glory of God”.

According to the CEO, though the journey had not been rosy, the support of stakeholders and individuals brought them this far. “It has not been easy or rosy all the way; there has been time that we were confronted with administrative or medical challenges but through it all, we made it”.

Mr Acquah said, The Community Hospitals are community based facilities with a lot of ownership from the community to respond to the health needs of the people, adding they pride themselves in giving back to society through a number of interventions including the “Paediatric Fair – that aims at keeping the children healthy at all times, supporting the Muslim community during their festivals, among other equally important interventions; and this year would not be different.

Thus in line with their commitment to give back to society and as part of the launch, the Community Hospitals Group presented quantities of mathematical sets, and reading materials to the Kwabenya Cluster of Schools for the students and their library.
