Krachi Nchumuru awards gallant farmers

The Krachi Nchumuru District Chief Executive, Mr. Augestine Appiah has advice the youth in the area to take advantage of the policy and other agriculture policies that will subsequently be enrolled in 2019 at the farmers day celebration held to award the gallant farmers in the district.

The Krachi Nchumuru district assembly marking the 34th national farmer's day celebration on the theme "agriculture: moving Ghana beyond aid" at a durbar held at Bejamse used the day to congratulate farmers within the district and asked them to put in efforts to increase food production.

The DCE in his speech called on the youth to take advantage of the planting for food and jobs, and the 'rearing for food and jobs, a livestock model that will be lauched in 2019 with the objective of increasing the production of selected livestock across the country.

Items such as tricycle, knapsack spraying machines, machete, wellington boots were awarded to some selected farmers towards their contribution in agriculture development in the district.
