The DCE said the government of Ghana sponsored the training of several small scale miners to equip them with the technicalities that goes with the operation of small scale mining.

He added that, the ban on small scale mining would soon be lifted and the miners would be required to make use of the training and skills acquired to do their work well in order not to destroy our lands and water bodies.

Mr Kusi hinted that, there would be another batch of miners who would also benefit from the four months training and this would gradually have more miners acquiring the right knowledge in mining.

Nana Anaafiwaa II, Dinsinase Baapanin who chaired the ceremony said, the Adansi traditional council acknowledges the efforts of the government in protecting the environment and therefore charged the miners to appropriately use the skills they have acquired to help their respective communities and Adansiman as a whole.
