He noted that these key policies and interventions are expected to help support the education of all Ghanaian citizenry, irrespective of one’s gender, ethnic origin and geographic location.

The MCE said this when he hosted the Municipal Education Director, Mrs. Mary Vida Kwofie, staff of Golden Star School and awardees of the President's Independence Day Awards at the Municipal Assembly in Bogoso.

In his interaction, Mr Owuh noted that the President’s Independence Day Awards had since its inception in 1993, offered award scholarships to deserving Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates who performed well in their exams.

He therefore ceased the opportunity to congratulate recipients of the awards for achieving such heights and uplifting the name of the municipality.

“I advise you to always choose excellence at all times and build on their desire to excel, which will serve them well in the future”, he noted.
He also acknowledged the efforts of school authorities who work selflessly to improve the standard of education in the area.

“I also acknowledge the efforts of teachers and administrators, who work so hard and are committed to the success of our children, they do their very best on behalf of our children’s education”, the MCE added.
