Farmers take delivery of 4,000 coconut seedlings
The District Chief Executive of Akrofruom, Mr. Maurice Jonas Woode, and the Member of Parliament for the area Mr. Alex Blankson has distributed 4,000 coconut seedlings to farmers.

It forms part of the Government’s flagship program, Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), and also provides the raw material for a factory in the District.
The DCE disclosed that the Government is investing heavily in planting for food and jobs as well as planting for rural export and rural development program to encourage the youth in Agriculture.
He advised the farmers to follow all the directives given by the agric officers to help improve the quality of growth of their seedlings on their various farms adding that efforts are underway to nurse more of the coconut seedlings since the demand has gone high.
