SEKYERE C: Assembly rehabilitates street lights
As the safety of residents in the Sekyere Central District has been prioritized, the Assembly has taken steps to rehabilitate broken and nonfunctional streetlights in the district.

The rehabilitation comes with the installations of 300 bulbs, and the replacement of 450 faulty street lights.

Safery of the people in the Sekyere Central District is one of the greatest concerns for the District Chief Executive (DCE), Kwadwo Banahene, due to that he took the need to lead the assembly to install 300 bulbs and replaced 450 faulty street lights.

District Chief Executive, Kwadwo Banahene, disclosed that the assembly took the initiative in order to ensure safety of the people particularly in the night.

He said a functional streetlight system in the district will deter criminals and others who hide under the cover of darkness to perpetuate evil, thus the citizens can boldly go about their legitimate businesses at night without fear of the unknown.

Mr. Banahene also disclosed that the assembly has procured a subsidized 440 solar lamps and water purifier for distribution in the remote areas which do not have access to potable water and electricity.
