Kwahu East DCE assures investors of favorable investment environment
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Kwahu East in the Eastern Region, Mr Isaac Agyapong has assured investors of a favorable environment to enable them operate fully under the government’s “One District One Factory” (1D1F) industrialization agenda which will be spearheaded by the private sector.

According to him, the Assembly is vigorously developing the much needed productive infrastructure in sectors such as road, energy, water, market to attract both local and foreign investors in line with “One District One Factory” (1D1F), One District One Exportable product, planting for Food and Investment and Planting for Food and Jobs.

He said government will continue to create the needed enabling environment hence the call on private sector investment in sectors such as stone quarry, granite exploitation, factory setup, and gold exploitation among others.

He was speaking at an investment forum held yesterday 15 January, 2018 at Modak Hotel in Pepease.



The forum which was aimed making known investment opportunities in the district to prospective investors was on the Theme: “Unearthing the investment potentials of the Kwahu East district for One District One Factory policy”.

In his keynote address, the DCE noted that the district is replete with investment potentials that have remained under developed or least exploited and therefore called on the investors both local and foreign to take advantage of the rich investment potentials and invest in the country.

He was of the view that the relatively virgin socio-economic sector offers a great opportunity of monopoly for investors who brace the trail to invest in the district.

The DCE also added that the wet semi-equatorial climate coupled with rich forest ochrosol soil and vast drainage system present a great deal of potential for agricultural production and processing, while the picturesque relief together with the abundant natural flora and fauna form the basis for tourism.
