According to him, the programme will not only enrich and preserve the country’s forest reserves but also provide an avenue for every district to employ about 400 youth to plant tree along river banks and flood prone zones in their respective areas.

Speaking to supervisors of the Techiman Municipal Afforestation Project under the auspices of the Forestry Commission, Mr Asiedu presented some items including 300 cutlasses, mattocks, pick-axe among others and urged the supervisors and their subordinates not to politicize the program but ensure team work in order to make the programme achievable.

He pledged his outfit’s commitment to complement the efforts of the MP and MCE for Techiman Mr Henry Yiadom Boakye and Mr John Donyinah respectively by providing technical advice to those engaged in the afforestation job as a NADMO BOSS.
