Some Assemblies that came before the PAC last week revealed to the Committee that they could not produce receipt books and documents to District Auditors because EOCO had come for them as part of their investigations.

The chairman in an interview with journalists at the ongoing PAC public hearing noted that some of the Assemblies are hiding behind the slogan that “EOCO” came for our documents, and added that if District Auditors follow up to EOCO those documents taken can be given to them.

“We do not understand why EOCO should come for a document for two years or more and not return it, we are going point out in our recommendations by urging them to return them to the Assemblies”.

He could not fathom why EOCO will take as long as two years and more to do their investigation, without returning the books for the PAC to also do their work, “we need those same documents in other to authenticate our work’.

“By now, two years and more they should finish with their investigation so that they return those documents in our recommendation to the plenary we would strongly point out that”.
