Sam David Osei in police grips for impersonation, fraud

One David Sam Osei, the Managing Director of Affordable Management and Consultancy Services Limited is in the custody of the police for alleged fraudulent activities.

Gospel Evangelical Crusades and Providence Foundation-Ghana (GOEVAC-PFG), a none-governmental organization in Ghana that is aimed at protecting the public from unscrupulous individuals pretending to be businessmen and duping people of huge sums of money lodged a complaint against Sam David Osei leading to his arrest.

In a release signed by the Executive Director of GOEVAC-PFG, Rev. Dr. Kwarteng Amaning in relations to a complaints the foundation lodged at the Greater Accra Regional Police Headquarters against David Sam Osei, the Managing Director of Affordable Management and Consultancy Services Limited for alleged fraudulent activities leading to his arrest is urging government to adequately resource the Ghana Police Service and improve on the conditions of services of the police to help them smoke out criminals who are bent on discrediting the laws of the country.

The statement also noted that “Inasmuch as we (Ghanaians) hope for much improvement in our economic growth than what has been achieved, let us with unity of purpose contribute our respective quotas to the solid building of the nation as we will do for ourselves without crimes and unwanted criticisms irrespective of our political affiliations”.

In the complaints to the police, GOEVAC-PFG accused David Sam Osei of:

• Forgery of insurance certificates belonging to Priority Insurance Limited

• Printing of Insurance books running into millions of Ghana cedis

• Printing of Insurance certificates unlawfully belonging to Star Assurance Limited

• Forgery of Susu Collectors Certificates

• Defrauding by false pretence of more than thousands of drivers which is also running into several millions of Ghana cedis.

The statement said “despite the numerous crimes he has committed, David Sam Osei has been carrying himself around as Barrister/Lawyer in Ghana defrauding innocent Ghanaians even though he is not a lawyer”.

It also stated that David Sam Osei, allegedly entered into partnership with Priority Insurance Limited as an alleged agent and managed to get ten (10) copies of their books which he fraudulently printed and started issuing them to importers who brought vehicles to Tema port for clearance.

GOEVAC-PFG, expressed worry that David Sam Osei’s fraudulent activities at the Tema Port for almost a year is rendering the government’s paperless clearance policies very questionable.

Gospel Evangelical Crusades and Providence Foundation-Ghana is therefore grateful to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command for their exemplary action in apprehending Sam David Osei who is currently in police custody assisting in police investigation.
