According to the Ashanti Regional Director for NCCE Mr. Kwaku Yeboah, the exercise is aimed at keeping government abreast with situations in the districts for appropriate measures to be taken if need be.

He said, Ghana adopted the democratic type of government 56years ago and is still progressing in tackling the challenges accompanied with democratic rule.

Mr. Yeboah acknowledged the fact that, most people do not know their rights and obligations as citizens especially when it comes to elections and governance. This he said has necessitated the need more than ever, the gathering of useful information from the citizens for their embedment in appropriate programmes.

The Adansi North District NCCE Director Mr. S.Y. Asamoah added that, The Social Auditing Prograamme by the NCE is in collaboration with the European Union to set priorities for the development of communities whiles the NCCE supervise all necessary intervention.

The provision of portable drinking water, the construction of roads, the construction of ICT lab for schools and the need for regular education and sensitization on issues by the NCCE were some of the requests by the communities.
