Mr. John Mahama made this observations whiles addressing the NDC branch and Constituency executives in the Abuakwa North Constituency during his day two campaign tour in the Eastern Region aimed at soliciting for support from delegates to make his comeback a reality.

"I hope you do remember in the 2016 general elections the then opposition told Ghanaians that we, the NDC are borrowing too much while there is money in this country we can depend on. But today just in two years of their government they have borrowed about forty million dollars, so now the question is, where has the money vanished to in just two years into their administration?".

"The monies we were accused of borrowing are the same money we invested in the infrastructure development we see today, the terminal three at the Kotoka International Airport, the circle interchange, the construction of the community day secondary schools which seven-three out of the one hundred and twenty three initiated projects were completed but these facilities have been left to rot in the bush whiles the uncompleted ones have also been abandoned", he emphasized.

The former President stressed that most major roads were fixed including the Koforidua to Tafo road, Kyebi roads which is the hometown of Akufo Addo, we invested in the Kpong water station projects of the Ghana water company limited, among others saying "we invested those our loans we didn't chop it in our mouth as it is today going on".

They have not add an inch to the projects we left behind neither have they initiated their own projects, they are rather borrowing but nothing has been seen down with the monies they have borrowed.

According to him, it is the plan of God to make Ghanaians appreciate the work NDC did whiles in office.

"They in opposition tagged us of being incompetent and for that matter they have the men who are fit to work for the development of this great nation they promised Ghanaians heaven and earth and that they will transform Ghana within their first year in government, I wish to remind them they are two months old in government so where is your transformation you promised us" he asked.

"Ghanaians are today calling for the comeback of the NDC to save them from the mess created by this super incompetent government, they said they don't want to try anybody again but want someone they know and have witnessed his work, they said they have sold their coloured TV for black and white which they are not able to watch when it rains; everywhere I go the said JM come and save us for we are dying"

John Mahama optimistic that "God is on his way has started vindicating the NDC, if the NPP had not come to power after the 2016 elections Ghanaians will never know their level of supper incompetent, they wouldn't know they are highly corrupt people, there are many things they said we did and how they are doing more than we did".

The former President appealed to delegates to remember him during their primaries because he has been tried and tested.
