BINDURI: Rainstorm rips off 10 schools, many houses

Many communities have started counting their losses brought on them by rain storms as the raining season has just started.

The Binduri District in the Upper East Region is the current to have had its share of the unfortunate destruction to properties.

A May 6, 2018 rainstorm in the district hit about ten schools in the district and many houses ripping off their roofing and leaving many homeless.

The affected schools are Yalugu Primary and Junior High Schools, Bansi JHS, Kuloko JHS, Bazua Primary, Bulugu Primary, and Atuba Primary.

The District Chief Executive, Ayinga Abagre Yakubu who visited the affected areas sympathized with the victims and assured that the assembly will do its best to seek the necessary assistance to help the victims particularly the schools so that teaching and learning can go on.
