Do your best to combat COVID-19 pandemic - Nana Tawiah-Antwi tells health directorate

Nana OkyereTawiah-Antwi, District Chief Executive of Atwima Kwanwoma District has advised the district health directorate led by Mrs. Confort Suglo to do their best to combat the spread of the novel covid-19 in the district and country at large.

He added that even though the safety of our health is in our own hands, they would play a leading and advisory role to ensure our safety.

Hon. Nana Antwi said these when he led the assembly to present health items like; 200 Veronica bucket, 4000 hand sanitizers, 100 boxes of gloves, 10 boxes of carbolic soap, 5 boxes of sunlight liquid soap and tissues worth several millions of cedis to the District Health Directorate to be given to all the health facilities to safeguard the COVID-19 pandemic. “Your staff need to be safe in order to safe us” He noted.

Hon Nana Antwi said this is the second time the Assembly has presented similar items to all the institutions, 33 electoral areas, markets and lorry stations in the district.

He urged chiefs and others and sundries to support the government through financial or kind donation of items to help in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in the Ashanti region.

Nana Antwi acknowledged the contribution of Dr. Kwadwo Appiah- Kubi, the Member of Parliament and other aspirants in terms of combating the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a related development, Hon. Nana Antwi also presented 2 brand new motorbikes to Foase Police Station help them in their Monitoring operations as well as moving from one community to another to check of the Lockdown in all communities in District.
