Agogo Youth Association is grateful to the Ashanti Regional Minister - Hon. Simon Osei Mensah

We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo and the Ashanti Regional Minister, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah for his swift response to the good people of Asante Akyem Agogo in the recent clash between the nomadic fulani herdsmen and the Operation Cowleg Team which resulted in some members of the team sustaining various degrees of injury.

We are particularly grateful to the Regional Minister who yesterday, 10th January, 2018 in his address to the people of Agogo assured us of his full cooperation and compliance to the Court Judgement which was granted the good people of Agogo with the help of our former Member of Parliament, Hon. Kwame Anyimadu Antwi on 20th January, 2012.

This Court Judgement when granted, has suffered a lot of sabotage from some political leaders in Asante Akyem North but we are happy they have now realized the essence of the Court Judgement.

The Judgement has seen past Regional Ministers in the erstwhile NDC Government who turned blind eye to it because it sort to totally evacuate the nomadic fulani herdsmen from the farmlands of Agogo.

We hope as the Regional Minister has given us his assurance, it won't be a nine-day wonder but will see to the total evacuation of these nomadic fulani herdsmen till the last cow leaves the farmlands of Agogo since this has been the major worry of peasant farmers here in Agogo for years now.

We as the vibrant Youth Association of Agogo also pledge our total support and cooperation in this fight to see to the end of it.

Long live Agogo!!!
Long live Ghana!!!
