Denkyebour District hands over CHPS compound to Health Directorate

As part of effort to improve health delivery, the Denkyembour District Assembly headed by Mr. Seth Ofosu Birikorang has handed over a new Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound to the District Health Directorate.

The new facility which is situated at Akwatia was designed by the District Works Department of the Assembly, and consists of a Consulting room, Male and Female Wards, Mini OPD and Records , Dispensary and Store, Laboratory , Lay-in-Ward, Labour ward, Recovery ward and sanitary Sanitary facility.

The facility when in use will save the people time and resources that would have been channeled into travelling to other places for health delivery.

Officials present at the handing over ceremony were the District Director of Health, Dr. Augustine Ankuve, Guantuahene of Akwatia, Nana Ampotua Amofah, the Presiding Member of the Assembly, Hon. Erasmus Ali Koney, a section of the community Nurses in the area, etc.
