New library commissioned for Sakogu SHTS

The North East Regional Minister Mr. Yidana Zakaria has joined the Chief and People of Sakogu in the East Mamprusi Municipality, as well as the Staff and Students of Sakogu Senior High Technical School, for the dedication and commissioning of the Sakogu Community Library.

The Project was undertaken by Mr. Lawrence Jato Darmani an author, publisher and a philanthropist who has supported the Sakogu Community in many other areas.

The minister at the ceremony called on other well-meaning people of the Ghanaian Society with the wherewithal to emulate the philanthropic spirit of Mr. Lawrence Jato Darmani.

Mr. Zakaria acknowledged that reading is the best arsenal for individual transformation and societal advancement. “I, therefore, encouraged the students to avail themselves of the reading opportunity offered by the new library, to sharpen their brains and adequately prepare them for the future.

He further admonished the staff to supervise the students to effectively utilize the books, and also help to preserve and protect the edifice for posterity.
