The demolition exercise commenced at about 4 am, and the members of the LaDMA team were supervised by heavy armed police officers from the La Police Command and some military personnel.

The taskforce members destroyed all unauthorized structures, particularly on the pavement.

Nii Marley Adjei, Special Assistant for media relations to the MCE, said the exercise is to ensure that the city is clean. He added that the Assembly would deal ruthlessly with everyone who flouts the laws of the municipality.

Chief supt Oduro Amaning  the LA police Commander  said the place is going to monitored to keep the traders away and do not come back again.
