MAMPONG: 900 Nation Builders Corps beneficiaries undergo orientation
About 900 Nation Builders Corps from Mampong Municipality, Ejura Sekyeredumasi, Nsuta and Agona were taken through job orientation to fully prepare them for the task ahead at the Emmanuel Presby Church, Asante Mampong on 27th September 2018.

The graduates drawn from the various Nabco modules were taken through the underpinning fundamentals of the modules (K. P. I) which were Knowledge, Punctuality and Integrity.

Addressing the visibly elated graduates, the Mampong Municipal Chief Executive, Hon Thomas Appiah Kubi welcomed them and stated that it was the desire of the NPP government to ensure graduate unemployment was reduced to the barest minimum hence the introduction of this flagship programme.

He called on them to work with all seriousness and avoid acts that had the tendency to bring the name of the organizations they would be posted to into disrepute.

“Government is counting on each and every one of you to work effectively and diligently to promote this noble programme", the MCE noted.

Touching on the underpinning fundamentals of Nabco, the President’s representative advised that it was imperative for the new officers to be knowledgeable in the modules they would be posted to. It could be Civic, Feed, Heal or the rest but one ought to be smart and within the shortest period read around your area and think of innovations you would bring on board.



Hon Appiah Kubi tasked them to also work with integrity and zeal to enable their superiors at their various offices recommend them in the event of any permanent employment as their three years mandate elapse.

On Punctuality, he admonished them to be present at work all times and abide by all institutional rules because they were now bounded by them adding that Government was not going to countenance absenteeism and laziness.

Before taking his seat, he assured the nation builders corps of his office’s preparedness to help make their stay a memorable one.

Other Module Implementing Partners took turn to interact with the corps and briefed them on work ethics and the expectations required from them under their modules.

Many of the people expressed optimism about the Nabco programme and appealed to authorities to help them get residential accommodation as they were struggling in that regard.
