Twifo Atti Morkwa Assembly distributes palm seedlings to farmers
Twifo Atti Morkwa District Assembly together with the Minerals Commission has started the distribution of over one (1) million palm seedlings to farmers in the area.

The free distribution forms part of government’s planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and the District Chief Executive’s vision of assisting farmers to generate income for themselves and families.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Twifo Atti Morkwa, Mr Robert Agyemang Nyantakyi in his address during the presentation noted that, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo’s government has taken much interest in the welfare of farmers, hence, the introduction of Planting for Food and Job (PFJ) which has seen Ghana exporting food to other neighboring countries.


The District Chief Executive promised the farmers that after the distribution of the One million seedlings, the Assembly has also started nursery of another 50, 000 seedlings to be distributed free in September.

He therefore encouraged farmers to invest their time into planting the seedlings to help achieve the expected results.


He also revealed that the Assembly had as at 2nd July, 2019, distributed over 80, 000 seedlings to farmers and the rest in progress.
