The policy which is aimed to accelerate development at the various metropolitan, Municipal, and District Assemblies (MMDAs) would help the MMDAs harness their potentials and ensure economic empowerment, thus creating jobs for the people particularly the youth.

The District Chief Executive of the Kwabre East District, Nana Osei Asibey Bonsu speaking with Ghanadistricts.com said the Kwabre East District is aiming to transform the structure of the economy from one that is dependent on production and export of raw materials, to a value added, industrialized economy.

And the success of this, he noted can only be achieved if some bottle necks that drive investors away are addressed, and one of those is land. As such, the assembly is ready to offer litigation free land to investors who would like to establish their factories in the district.

The acquisition of the land the DCE noted, was done with the consent of the traditional leaders who are also keen on seeing improvement in the district. “We have opened our doors to all investors because we have a package which is to provide a litigation free land free of charge to them", he said.

He added that this initiative would create employment for the youth in the district and called on all investors to come to Kwabre East to help develop the district.
