Her claims are that the land on which the health facility is built belongs to her and as such until she's duly compensated anyone who uses the facility will die.

In an interview with Ghanadistricts.com, the District Chief Executive (DCE) for Bia West, John Koah said there have been several meetings with chiefs and elders, and the fetish priestess and we have agreed to only pay any compensation if she can provide documents to support her claim.

He further called on the Omanhene of the Sefwi traditional area to help mediate in the issue as the CHPS compound will provide health services to a number of communities including Kojo Abaa, Kofi Ko, NtimKrom, Boadukrom and Niable, an Ivorian border town.

Assembly member for the Osei Kojokrom's Electoral Area expressed worry about the delay in having unfettered access to the CHPS compound as it is greatly affecting health delivery service in the community and its environs.

The issue about the CHPS compound came up strongly during a town hall meeting with residents expressing worry at the development and called on government to intervene urgently.
