MCE appeals for creation of Bolga West Constituency

It was a dream come true when the much awaited Bolgatanga East District Assembly was inaugurated at Bolgatanga in the Upper East Region as part of the thirty-eight newly created district assemblies across the country.

Bolgatanga East was carved out of the Bolgatanga Municipal, with its capital situated at Zuarungu

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Amiyuure Joseph Atura expressed delight at the development adding that it will help develop communities under the newly created district.

He however, appealed to the president of Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo to also create Bolgatanga West Constituency help foster and harness accelerated development within the Municipality.

He further indicated that, he will work hand in hand with the newly created district to equally bring improvement to the constituent in and around Zuarungu.

Mr. Atura in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com commended the Upper East Region Agriculture Development Program (URIDEM) for making available their facility for use by the new district as their assembly complex.

The MCE tasked the staff to go the extra mile in their performance to help the new district find firm footing to deliver to the aspirations of the people.
