Ga South Assembly installs streetlights

As part of measures to enhance visibility and reduce armed robbery in the Ga South Municipality, the Assembly headed by Mr. Joseph Nyarni has installed street lights on some selected streets within the Municipality.

Speaking in an interview with Ghanadistricts.com the MCE said, the installation of street lights became necessary to halt the activities of criminals who take advantage of the darkness to commit all kinds of crime within the city.

He added that drivers should take precautions when driving to prevent destruction of street lights, adding that and the public must also serve as watchdogs over this valuable public property.

Mr. Nyarni urged residents to report people who dress like Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) official only to steal the photocells of the streetlights and criminals who would seek to destroy them to create avenue for them to carry out illegal activities.
