976 candidates take part in BECE in Bosome Freho
A total of 976 candidates are taking part in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Bosome Freho District which started throughout all the four (4) centres yesterday.

The centres included the Bosome Senior High Technical School, Nsuaem II D/ A JHS, Dunkura D/A JHS and the Aboabo II.

The District this year recorded seven pregnancies out of the total 976 candidates.

Three delivered while four were still pregnant but all took part in the examination.

The district also recorded two deaths, one from Anyinase JHS and the other from Dunkura D/A JHS who met his death in a galamsy pit.

According to the District Director of Education for the area, Mrs. Georgina Enyan, about 541 males and 435 females were expected to take part in the exams.

She said teachers and candidates were warned to desist from any examination malpractice during the exams. The Director hinted that all the candidates were prepared enough to take the exams “saying we are expecting that as we begin this year’s BECE, all teachers and students will be extra careful during the conduct of the exams”.

Meanwhile, the District Directorate has assured the public that no examination leakages will result in this year’s exams in the area.

The District Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Yaw Danso during his tour of the exams centres, assured the candidates of Free Senior High school should they pass their exams and wish them well.

The DCE was accompanied by the District Coordination Director Mr. Joseph Frimpong Naayo, the Member of Parliament Madam Joyce Adwoa Ako- Dei, the District Director of Education Mrs. Georgina Enyan and later joined by the Presiding Member of the Assembly Hon. Patrick Kwaku Frimpong.
