Ga E: Jesse Nii Noi elected PM for the second term

The Ga East Municipal Assembly has successfully held its inaugural ceremony of the assembly members which is pursuant to section (3) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936) after the district level elections on 17th December 2019.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Janet Tulasi Mensah in her address congratulated the newly elected assembly members and the unit committee and urged them to be transparent and accountable leaders at the local level to boost development.

She also admonished them to take their positions seriously by working hand-in-hand with the municipal assembly to help bring development.

The Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs, Charles Owiredu in an address on behalf of the President stated that the newly elected assembly members should ensure that projects which are being built on unauthorized areas are duly dealt with.

He reiterated the need for them to work in unity to bring development to the municipality.

Meanwhile, the Assembly has successfully elected Jesse Nii Noi as the Presiding Member for the second time running.
