Juaboso DCE urges residents to pay their taxes
The District Chief Executive of Sefwi Juaboso District Assembly in the Western North Region, Martha Kwayie Manu has appealed to residents of Juaboso and its environs to honour their tax obligations to support government undertake more infrastructure development, since revenue is the key to the operation of the Assembly.

She made this appeal during the Assembly's first ordinary meeting of the 4th session of the Assembly held at Juaboso community center last Friday.

She said, the Assembly had performed well in its internal mobilization, since it inception.

According to her, a total amount of (Gh 255,435.57) was realized as the Assembly's revenue performance out of the estimated revenue figure of (Gh 402,899.16) for the year 2018.

This represents (63.4%) achievement of the target set for the year.

On District Assembly Common Fund (DACF), She said, the Assembly received an amount of (Gh3,422,510.04) from the central government as its share of the District Assemblies Common Fund for the year 2018. while (Gh502,442.000) was also received as District Development Fund (DDF).

On stool lands, the Assembly received amount of (Gh56,937.000) out of the total budgeted figure of (Gh 241,113.84) for the year 2018.



According to her, with this financial support the Assembly has embarked on several development projects in the District.

These includes, Construction of 1No 3unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at Eyenyamdem, Reshaping of Essiamakrom- Agyimandien (23km) feeder roads, Renovation of Juaboso Magistrate Court, Construction of 6unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at both New Brekum and Adamase, Manufacture and supply of Furniture to various schools in the District, Construction of 3 seater water closet toilet at Juaboso Magistrate Court, covert at Abono among others.

The DCE in her Sessional address, praised the New Patriotic Party (NPP)led administration for prudent policies and introduction of the numerous flagship Programmes and intervention geared towards creating jobs and improving livelihood of the citinery such as Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP), Planting for Food and Jobs Programme (PfFJs), Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), Nations Builder's Corps (NABCO), Free SHS and double track system among others.

She also indicated that, the Assembly has undertaken other projects in the district through the support from the 1million per each Constituency initiatives these projects are Construction of (72) market sheds for Juaboso, Completion of Juaboso town park, Construction of Small Water Project at Brekum, Adamase, Bonsu Nkwanta, Nkatiaso and Antonia to ensure potable drinking water for the people.



He further said, The District Department of Agriculture received the following farms inputs seeds of Rice (888), seeds of maize 85 and NPK 15-15 to be sold to the farmers at a very low price.

On the Nations Builder's Corps (NABCO), She indicated that, a total number of One Hundred and fifty five (155) personel across six modules have been posted to the district to complement the work force of the Assembly staff.
