Catechists urged to proclaim the Gospel of Christ

The Obuasi Dioceses Catechist Association Chaplain, Rev Fr. Anthony Baffour Awuah has asked catechists in Obuasi Dioceses to work hard to proclaim the Gospel of Christ to win more souls for Christ.

Rev. Fr. Baffour Awuah said this at Manso Agroyesum when 85 catechists from four (4) Catholic parishes, namely Manso Agroyesum parish Manso-, Nkwanta Parish, Manso-, Keniago Parish and Essase-, Bontefufuo parish attended a one day training workshop to updates their skills.

They were taken through topics like the role of catechist in the Catholic church, their knowledge in Catholic doctrines among others.

Rev Fr. Baffour Awuah also appealed to Catholic church members to give due respect and the needed support to enable them discharge their duties effectively.

He also asked the catechists to buy all the needed books which would enhance their work.

The president of the catechist Association in Obuasi Dioceses, Mr Isaac on his part asked the catechists in the Dioceses to wake up to their expectations.

He asked them to attend to any workshop organized by both the parishes and Dioceses.

The members thanked the Diocesan Catechist Association for the workshop which according to them would enhance their work.
