MASLOC beneficiaries get start up capital
Some petty traders in the Weija-Gbawe Municipality are beneficiaries of the first batch of loans disbursed by MASLOC. The beneficiaries, numbering two hundred and fifty (250), received the loans the Municipal Micro and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) office at Mallam.

The ceremony was attended by the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency and Deputy Minister for Health, Hon Tina Naa Ayele Mensah who is the architect of the scheme, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Weija-Gbawe Municipal Assembly, Mr Patrick Kwesi Brako Kumor and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Madam Mercy Quansah.

The Weija-Gbawe Municipal Director of MASLOC, Mr Ishmael Adams welcomed the honourable members to the office.

Addressing the beneficiaries, Madam Mercy Quansah asked them to use the loans for their intended purpose. She likened the loans to the talents in the bible. She ended by telling them to pay their Business Operating Permit.

Mr Patrick Kumor (MCE) asked them not to see the loans as giveaways. He said the money is meant to improve their lives. He pleaded with them to pay back in good time.

The  MP told the beneficiaries that she was once a beneficiary under the President Kuffour administration. She paid back her loan for others to benefit from the scheme.

The Member of Parliament for the Weija-Gbawe Constituency, asked for blessings for the ventures to be undertaken. She ended by telling them that bigger amounts will be disbursed if they keep faith with the scheme.

The Regional Accountant of MASLOC, Mr William Agyei, thanked all for making time to be present.
