Govt launches Okuafo Pa Project in Dormaa East
Professor Gyan Baffour, Minister for Planning at the office of the Presidency, has on behalf of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo cut sod for the commencement of the Okuafo Pa project at Kyeremansu, a community in the Dormaa East district of the Bono Region.

Speaking during the ceremony, Prof Baffour indicated that, the Okuafo Pa Project is being developed by Eni and the Government of Ghana which is represented by the National Board for Small Scale Industries (NBSSI).

Eni is an energy company, working to build a future where everyone can access energy resources efficiently and sustainably. Eni operates in 71 countries worldwide, employing around 33,000 people.


The project, which is the first step of the Okuafo Pa project, aimed at defining a sustainable model to be replicated in other regions of Ghana as well as in other countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, to positively impact on productive activities and occupation opportunities.

The facility which will serve as a training centre will help train people for diversified agricultural development and entrepreneurship aimed at supporting Ghana’s sustainable development by promoting socio-economic growth.


The Campus will influence local employment, generate revenue from agricultural activities and develop a co-operative model on the overall supply-chain of each product.

The centre encompasses a Campus for up to 800 students, classrooms, workshops, offices and other related storage spaces and utilities.



Italian government delegation led by H.E Ambassador Giovanni Favilli and the entire ENI team led by the Executive Vice President for Sub Saharan Africa Mr. Guido Brusco graced the occasion including Nananom, Krontihene of Dormaa, Barimah Ansu Agyei , the Minister for Health Mr Kwaku Agyeman-Manu the District Chief Executive Mr Emmanuel Kofi Agyeman and all and sundry.
