ATEBUBU: Assembly endorses Edward Owusu
The Atebubu-Amantin district assembly yesterday gave an overwhelming endorsement to the President’s nominee for the position of District Chief Executive Mr. Edward Owusu.

Mr. Owusu a businessman and current Atebubu-Amantin constituency chairman of the New Patriotic Party NPP polled all 43 votes representing a 100% in a ballot supervised by the electoral commission of Ghana.

Earlier in an address the Brong Ahafo regional minister Hon. Kwaku Asomah Kyeremeh asked the house to see the opportunity to confirm the nominee as chance to vote for development.

The Presiding Member of the assembly Hon. Gariba Issa also encouraged his colleagues to endorse the nominee to ensure the President’s vision for the district is realized expeditiously.

In an acceptance speech the 44 year old DCE reiterated his desire to fix the bad road network in the district as well as see to it that the perennial water problem that faces the people is resolved.

Mr. Owusu pledged to ensure that all school going children enroll in school in order to benefit from he soon to begin free senior high school policy.

He thanked the assemblymen and Nananom for the trust reposed in him and urged all to assist him prosecute the agenda of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in the district.

Present were the Member of Parliament for the Atebubu-Amantin constituency Hon. Kofi Amoakohene and a former DCE for Atebubu-Amantin Mr. Cassius Osei Poku as well as heads of department.
