Expiration of letter of credit delayed district hospital project - Minister
Minister of Health Kwaku Agyeman Manu has disclosed that construction of the Adansi North District Hospital in Fomena has stalled because of expiration of letter of credit backing the loan.

According to the Minister, Fomena forms part of the 7 District Hospital programme being undertaken by Messrs NMSI of the United Kingdom.
He noted that the Ministry of Finance is currently discussing with the UKEF and contractors on strategies to extend the credit facility.
And added that the Health Ministry is awaiting approval for the extension of the loam from the Finance Ministry based on which the commercial contract will be reactivated.
Work would resume as soon as approval is received from the Ministry of Finance he said, when MP for Fomena Andrew Amoako Asiamah asked for steps being put in place to complete the District Hospital.
