Obuasi Municipal Assembly donates furniture to schools in the municipality

The Obuasi Municipal Assembly has presented furniture to some schools in Obuasi to boost education in the Municipality.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive, Elijah Adansi-Bonah, 362 furniture made up of 240 dual desks, 4 headteacher's tables, 4 head teacher's chairs, 8 headteachers visitors chairs, 43 teacher's tables, 43 teacher's Chairs, 43 teacher's tables and 20 Cupboards were distributed to 16 primary and Junior High schools in Obuasi.

He further explained that this is the first phase of the distribution, with the second batch expected to be distributed very soon.

The MCE then charged both teachers and the pupils to embrace the culture of maintenance to ensure the furniture is put to lasting use.

Mr. Adansi-Bonah urged the school children to take their studies seriously and avoid involving themselves in immoral acts that could end their educational careers.
