This forms part of the MPs quarterly duty performance seeking to improve the standard of living among the people in her constituency.

The activity which saw a brief gathering of the Constituency Executives of the opposition National Democratic Congress together with the families of benefiting students was held at the forecourt of the office of the Member of Parliament in Donkorkrom last Tuesday as the Constituency Chairman of the NDC Galinor Prosper presents the cheques to beneficiary applicants on behalf of the MP.

The Chairman then ceased the opportunity to encourage the students to learn hard and also prepare themselves psychologically to accept posting to the constituency in order to help contribute in the development of the constituency.

Prosper Galinor stated that “There are about 573 communities in our constituency and it will be a very great opportunity for the students here to witness the poor and lack of learning centres for basic pupils in the constituency, the MP could have refused to pay school fees and rather use the money to construct classroom blocks, pavilions, etc. for the schools in the constituency.”

"We must therefore be grateful to God for giving us Hon. Betty who is really displaying her motherly love by combining all these activities so well that as I speak 10 Pavilions are been put up in some communities and school fees are also being paid on daily basis" he noted.

Recounting on some essential role played in the education sector Mr. Prosper Galinor revealed the Member of Parliament who is only two years in office has initiated many projects from his MPS common fund in the area of education.

"She initiated the construction of ten pavilion school buildings for communities including Ansonkope, Dzakpatakope, Kamalo, Mayikpor, Preda Segble Nature, Boyirideka, Tegeni, Kwaku Dade No 2 and Apapasu Battor".

"Since education is one of her priorities she is currently paying the allowance of some 15 community teachers employed to support teaching in schools where we are lacking teachers, they are receiving GHS150.00 per month per teacher.
She also supported the education directorate with an amount of GHS1,000.00 for the payment of electricity bill for the only ICT Centre in the District" the Constituency chairman pointed out.

He did not hesitate to add that the Honourable MP has donated a flat screen TV to Atakora DA JHS for emerging the best performing school during 2017 BECE in the Eastern Region. She also donated about 700 pieces of Mathematical set to all 2018 basic education certificate examination candidates in the district.

"Our mother Betty Krosby Mensah as part of her willingness to see improvement in our education sector paid for the repairs of the official vehicle of our District Director of education of the Ghana Education Service at the cost of five thousand Ghana Cedis".

He explained that the effort played and its achievement are not audio where you can hear but cannot see and feel by the ordinary citizen saying the MP has opened and finished an ICT center for the Ntonaboma Presby JHS with 13 brand new computers after donating five sewing machines to St. Mary's Vocational SHS at Adeamra whiles supporting the renovation of the Donkorkrom Agric Senior High School (DASHS) kitchen and supply the with street lights.

The students were very grateful to the Member of Parliament for such assistance and some even attested to the fact that it wasn't the first school fees assistance they had received from her.

They asked for God's protection and guidance for Betty Krosby Mensah for her kind gesture.
