ASIKUMA O B: Three sectors receive motorbikes

In a move to strengthen the supervision directorate of the Ghana Education Service, Sanitation and Works in the Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District, the assembly on the 80th Anniversary of the Asikuma Catholic boys’ school presented six motorbikes to the education directorate, 4 to the Environmental Health Department and 2 to the Works Department.

This is the first ever presentation to enable circuit supervisors execute their mandate.

Presenting the motorbikes to the District Director of Education, Chief Executive of the district, Mr. Isaac Odoom said the gesture is to aid the education sector to execute its mandate of providing quality education to children in the area.

According to him, this will cover the circuits in the district therefore making monitoring easy for circuit supervisors.

Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the three sectors, the Director of Education in the District, Nana Berima Twum, thanked the DCE for the gesture, and pledged that he would monitor the use of the bikes to ensure its longevity.
