KUMAWU: NADMO fights bedbugs at Kumawu SHS

Students of the Kumawu Senior High School will heave a sigh of relief from the persistent sleepless night as a result of bedbugs’ infestation.

For some time now, students in most senior high schools in the Ashanti Region have been battling with bedbugs in their dormitories and Kumawu Senior High School was not an exception.

The presence of the bedbugs in their dormitories subjected the students to psychological trauma and sleepless nights.

But their era of worry came to an end today when Sekyere Kumawu District office of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) team headed by Mr Emmanuel Obeng went to the school to fumigate the dormitories and belongings of the students to eradicate the pests.

Mr. Samuel Addai, the District Chief Executive of the area also explained that it was his headache as to how best the pests could be eradicated until the NADMO intervened.

He also stated that other Senior High Schools in the district are having similar problems and he would make sure the same exercises are extended such schools.
