THLD: DCE hands over new furniture to education directorate
Schools in the Twifo HemangLower Denkyira District in the Central Region have received a boost ahead of their reopening for the new academic this September.

In order to address issues of inadequate furniture in the various schools, the District Chief Executive, Mr. Emmanuel Kojo Nanah presented quantities of furniture to the District Education Directorate for onward distribution to schools.

The furniture included 200 hexagonal tables usually used by those in nursery and kindergarten, 1,200 nursery chairs, and 300 dual desks.



According to him, the gesture is in line with their commitment to addressing logistical constraints that confronts the sector and inhibit effective teaching and learning at the various schools.

The DCE thus assured that a lot would be done to address other problems in the education sector so that their quest of improving standard of education in the district can be realized.



Meanwhile, the DCE also inspected the state of work done on a new classroom block for Nsuaem.

The project is already completed and ready for commissioning and subsequent handing over next week to enable the pupils use it for the new academic year.
