The idea came in 2015 when the then vice president of the Republic of Ghana, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah Arthur came to attend the funeral of his mother.

The family whiles discussing generously agreed to set up the library if a building is provided.

Even after the demise of the late vice president, Mrs Amissah Arthur renewed the commitment she and her husband had made for a library in Ohawu.

Mr Ben Dotse Malor in the other hand was able to raise enough fund for the construction of the building.

A friend of the late Vice President’s family who also heard of the project generously offered to help attach a computer (or IT) center to the library.

The learning center was named in honour of the late former Vice President of the republic, Kwesi Amissah Arthur because of the dedication, support and commitment of Mrs Matilda Amissah Arthur.

Mr Ben Dotse Malor in his speech thanked each and every one who supported the project financially.

Most especially the community people who helped in various ways from the beginning till the project is completed.
