According to the delegates numbering over six hundred from both Digya and Dwarf Islands revealed that they are tired of stomach politicians who comes to make juicy promises which are always abandoned after voting for them to gain what they want.

"We are neglected by our own party over the years, we need to be vigilante, when it comes to elections time you will see them running to us from Donkorkrom just to deceive us to vote for them in the primaries since the know whoever wins the primaries is automatically a Member of Parliament for this area, we don't benefit anything from our party being it from the Member of Parliament, the Constituency executives or even successive NDC governments, the only benefit we got was the funeral donations, bag of rice, oil, soap, and the weightless envelope they usually give us when they come to seek for our votes.

“There has been no job opportunity for us, we have been sidelined since Mrs. Krosbi era till date" a delegate stated angrily.

We are today declaring our support to one of our own, we believe in his programs and policies which we know will go a long way to empower us to meet our daily bread we promise to digest the messages and then make the right decision as he rightly appealed.

The delegates made this statement to Mr. Kpeli Worlase when he took his campaign tour to the island communities in the Afram Plains North Constituency last weekend to interact with delegates, educating them on why they should vote for him to lead the party in the upcoming 2020 general elections. He entreated delegates to digest policies and programs laid before them by aspirants before making a decision on who to cast your vote for.

Mr. Kpeli who was optimistic of winning the primaries over the incumbent Betty Krosbi Mensah stated that most people aspiring for the position has no policies to better the life's of the people in their Constituency saying "most aspirants in this election has no massage for the people in terms of policies to better the lifes of the ordinary people in the Constituency, most of us put our interest first instead of prioritizing the interest of the people", he noted.

Revealing how he intends to transform Afram Plains North if given the opportunity, he explained that "he is going to emulate the strategies of the late Anokye who was the District Chief Executive (DCE) of the Kwahu Afram Plains District Assembly during the erstwhile Kufour's administration, by empowering the people to be self-reliance.

"I am going to make you feel part of the governance system of the country by creating the platform for the people of Afram Plains to utilize their specialties while creating employment and also coach them to be self-reliance by so doing the people will be financially sounds and I don't think anybody will ask the MP to pay for his wards school fees or pay a hospital bill because you now have the resources to cater for yourselves, as the various common funds could be used on the infrastructure development", he promised.
