MCE launches “Operation Keep the Highways Clean” campaign
In pursuit to improve sanitation and health of the people in the municipality, Mr. Evans Addison Onomah Coleman, the Municipal Chief Executive for Agona West Municipal Assembly has launched "OPERATION KEEP THE HIGHWAYS CLEAN"

This operation is designed to prevent plastic/paper and other forms of waste on the various highways of the municipality
He indicated that a clean and healthy environment lowers stress and contribute to a positive outlook on life as well as boosts mental health.
The MCE also announced that the Municipal Assembly will be liaising with Alpha Investment & Properties Ltd, a private company that is specialised in waste management systems to help in the management of the landfill site.
According to him, reusing, and recycling of waste are important for the environment as these practices help to decrease the amount of waste for disposal, saves space in landfill and conserves the natural environment.
Residents are urged to help in achieving these sanitation goals and also change their attitude and behaviour towards sanitation.
