51 tertiary students received scholarship in Lower Manya Krobo
Fifty-one tertiary students in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality have received Government Scholarships worth Eighty- Two Thousand Ghana Cedis (GHC 82,000).

Mr. Simon Kweku Tetteh, the Municipal Chief Executive for Lower Manya Krobo Minicipality presented the award letters to the beneficiaries in a short ceremony at the Municipal Assembly Hall.

The MCE in his brief speech stated that because of the committed quest of the ruling NPP government to decentralize all government programs and policies, the government scholarship scheme had been decentralized to the MMDA'S level where the Assemblies received applications, and after interviewing the numerous applicants, 51 tertiary students in the Municipality has been awarded with this scholarship for the academic year.

He challenged all the beneficiaries to work hard since this is a high level investment Ghana is making into their future and they must go out as good ambassadors of the good deeds of H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, President of the Republic.

Two of the beneficiaries are medical students who will have fees for the academic year fully taken care of by Government as one of them in an interview with said this has brought a great relief to him which will help him have his peace of mind to study.

The short ceremony was witnessed by staff of the Municipal Assembly, stakeholders in the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality and some executive members of the NPP in the Constituency.
