ASOKORE: Nuriya Islamic School gets modern 6-unit block
Joy has come to residents of Sepe Afoagya following the replacement of the old wooden structure that was used by the Nuriya Islamic School as classroom block with a modern six unit classroom block.

The new structure that comes with ancillary facilities including headmaster’s office, staff common room, store, library and sanitary facilities including toilets and urinal was commissioned and handed over to the school.





The GETfund funded project was spearheaded by the Member of Parliament for the Asawase Constituency, Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak; and the Municipal Chief Executive for the Asokore Mampong Municipal Assembly, Alhaji Alidu Seidu commended the MP for such an intervention, adding that though GETFund is state owned, it takes a lot of lobbying and hard work for one to access it since a lot of people want to benefit from it.





Alhaji Seidu pledged his resolve to work together with the MP to bring the needed development to the municipality.


The MCE was however saddened by the attitudes of some parents who try to pick quarrels with teachers for trying to bring their children on the right path of life and urged them to desist from such acts, instead, they should support and get involved in ensuring that the children become useful citizens in future.





He reminded the people of the free senior high school policy and urged them to ensure the children perform well to become beneficiaries of the programme.


Alhaji Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, MP also pledged is continues support to the constituency to ensure they do not lag behind in development.





He said though the initial cost was GHs260, 000. 00, subsequent variations pushed the cost to about GHs320, 000.00.


He said teachers will have to be supported by all stakeholders including teachers to give off their best to the students so that they can do well in their academic work for progress on the academic ladder.
