Education is a collective responsibility - DCE
The District Chief Executive for Tain in the Bring Ahafo region, Lawyer Charity Akua Oforiwaa Dwommoh has called on parents to support and ensure the education of their children.

The DCE said the provision of quality education is a collective effort of pupils, parents, teachers and all stakeholders in the education sector.

This was disclosed during the inauguration of the Tain District Parent - Teacher Association at Nsawkaw, under the theme; Quality Education, the role of parents and teachers.

She stated that education in the district is not encouraging hence the need for a collective effort to from parents, teachers and all stakeholders to help in improving the standard of education in the district.

The District Chief Executive noted that education is a major priority of government government hence the introduction of the free senior high school policy where she urged the citizenry to encourage their children to Al's benefit from it. She added that 1 0 basic schools in the district would be enrolled to the school feeding programme this year.

She therefore advised parents to take care of their children and be concerned about their education. She appealed to the citizenry especially the youth to take their education serious and avoid the use of drugs like tramadol which have negative effects on them.
