TALENSI: Deprived communities to get electricity
The Akuffo Addo government has awarded contract for the extension of electricity to some deprived communities in the area.

The contractors have already started work on the said project.
The District Chief Executive of Talensi, Mr Christopher Boatbil Sormifeyema said this when interacting with the chiefs and people of Gbani in the Talensi district.
The DCE also took the chance to enumerate some of the development projects ongoing in eastern part of Talensi District of which Gbani is among.
Some of the projects include, four dams at Yameriga, sawaliga, Gbani and Namoalug. Others are three scaled down water systems at Tindongo, sheaga and Datoko.
The eastern part is also to benefit from two institutional toilets at Tindongo and Datuko markets. In addition, the Wuug School has been renovated whilst a new class room block is near completion at Kulpeliga.
He added that, other forthcoming projects will be provision of school furniture, construction of a three unit class room block at Buugu and a bridge connecting Gbani and Gaare.
The Chiefs in their response thanked the government and the DCE for the gesture.
