As she crusade to ensure that the country is clean as a sector Minister, she noted in a media briefing that Ghana will be clean starting from the Capital.

According to the Minister, we have a challenge as a country, which starts with people staying at the slums and further added that “our” attitude as a people needs to be worked on, because we cannot achieve change without attitudinal change.

“We will always be fighting against nature, our nature is to do good, but our practice as we live day by day tells another story that we need all in sink so that all the efforts by the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA) Sanitation and Water Project, and other sanitation groups will not be in vain”, she lamented.

She further pointed out that, when it comes to issues of “toilet” people shy away, we have no choice but to talk about it because all come from us.

“I believe we all know about lavender hill, when it was then lavender hill, the name has a history, there is also a technology for toilet treatment into compost, and the treatment of water that we generate from our bodies”.

Mrs. Cecilia Abena Dapaah added that, God himself knew why he created us and how he created us, we have messed up along the way and we talk about sanitation which gives us dignity.

“We must thank God for his mercies, he has don us good and we need to treat our environment very well”
