About 50 thousand children who are out of school are to benefit from a nine month complementary basic education programme.

About 50 thousand children who are out of school are to benefit from a nine month complementary basic education programme.

The programme being implemented by the Ministry of Education with support from the Department for International Development, DFID of the UK government is tailored towards achieving MDG two, which aims at increased enrolment in basic schools.

The Minister of Education, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is currently in Kintampo in Brong Ahafo to launch the programme.

Public Relations Officer for the Ministry, Paul Krampah tells Radio Ghana that, the programme will be implemented in the three regions of the North as well as Brong Ahafo.
