Samuel Otu SHS receives new school bus
A sixty seater Benz bus with the registration number GV 415-17 has been inaugurated and handed over by the Member of Parliament for Tano South constituency Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere to Samuel Otu Senior High School at Techemantia.

At the handing over ceremony at Techimantia, a Deputy Director in charge of Finance and Administration at the Tano South Municipal Education Office, Mrs. Philomina Owusu Boampong who spoke on behalf of the Municipal Education Director, Rev. Robert Opoku thanked the Member of Parliament for Tano South Constituency for donating the bus to the school to enhance the operations of the school.

She said, since education is an important tool in human resource development, there is the need for parents to send their children to school and stressed that as success is not achieved on a silver platter, students should take their studies seriously so that they can achieve greater heights in future and informed school authorities, students and Nananom to ensure that the proper maintenance culture is adhered to in the use of the bus.

The Member of Parliament for the Tano South Constituency Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere said, government is committed to do more developmental projects to improve and better the lives of Ghanaians and hinted that, Bechem – Techimantia road and many more in the Municipality including Derma – Asuoso road will be tarred after documentations are completed by the authorities.

On the importance of road construction, he said when roads in the Municipality are tarred they will help to facilitate business transactions and other human activities. Hon. MP concluded his speech by catalogue the achievements of the government.

Mr Collins Offinam Takyi, the MCE on his part commended the MP, and indicated that the MP, Benjamin Yeboah Sekyere is the Chairman of the Local Government Committee in Parliament and upon his effective role as a chairman, he has been able to acquire this bus for the Techimantia Senior School to support the activities of the school.

Mr. Takyi said the government through Tano South Municipal Assembly has implemented a number of projects and programmes to improve the life of people in the Municipality.

The headmaster of Techimantia Senior High School, Mr Evans Asare thanked the MP for Tano South Constituency for the kind gesture and promised to put the bus into good use and maintained to ensure it survives for many years to serve its intended purposes.

The Krontihene of Techemantia, Nana Ampong Kromantain who chaired the function thanked the Member of Parliament and the Municipal Chief Executive for their diligent roles played to acquire a bus for the Samuel Otu Senior High School at Techimantia.
