According to the District Health Director, when patients have emergency cases and being referred to different hospitals, and the patient dies it is not the duty of the ambulance to carry the dead body.

“Let a different vehicle carry the dead body, we worship dead bodies too much in this country, this ambulance is for the sick person, and not for taking passengers, and usually family members want to be part of the ambulance team”.

He further pointed out that, some people would even say the ambulance was bought by the Member of Parliament so they want to sit in it.

“The ambulance had come at a critical moment and has come to health with health delivery, we had an ambulance that got spoiled more than five years ago, the MP donated it for all of us, we are only taking care of it.
